Show B & C ROAD FUNDS The Utah State Department of Highways has announced an allocation of $4,556,703.45 in B it C Road funds as of March 1, 1970. Garfield County's share was $94,863.15. There are eight towns within Garfield County participating in the amount of $12,356.70, making a total for the county and all towns of $107,219.85. Class B it C road funds are derived from vehicle registration funds. The first $2 million plus 75 of the balance is allocated annually to the Class B it C fund for distribution to all counties and all towns based upon the following formula: 45 percent on population. 45 percent on road mileage, 10 percent on land area. This money Is spent for maintenance and construction purposes on 808.3 miles of local roads and streets. |
