Show Henrieville News lems MEI.BA D. SMITH Several ladles helped the Relief Society do a quilt for Ar tolae Rose at the home of Rae Smith. Rae Hughes of Can-nonvllle came to help quilt. Birthdays this week are celebrated by Collin and Collette Rose, Jimmle Smith and Iris Bushnell. The anniversary of Virginia Smith Jim and Rae Smith went to Pangultch last Wednesday. Jim Smith and Harry Partner started work at Bryce Canyon on Monday. Several local people attended the wedding reception and dance Saturday at Tropic for Ken and Artolse Piatt. Marion Willis went to Provo last Tuesday to attend the Senior Citizens dance, then they went to BYU for dinner. There was a birthday party at Orem for Rueben Pine who was 80 years old, that the crowd attended. Then he visited at American Pork With Mr. and Mrs. King, returning home Thursday. Iceland Griffin went to St. George Friday for a 5 county meeting. Varis Simkins of Clr-cleville visited her sister Ber then Griffin. I, eland attended funeral services in Escalan-te for Lorln Griffin. Elmo Bushnell Is home for a few days from his work In Green River. Harry and Thora Partner made a hurried trip to Ogden last Monday, up and back the same day. They went to take some things to their daughter Evelyn at Weber and to Salt Lake City where Harry had an appointment with his doctor for a checkup. They visited Darreld Neilson at the Holy Cross Hospital. Louise and Beth Partner, Joanne Rose and Dorothy Smith along with other members of the Bryce Valley Drill team went to St. George on Saturday to march at Dixie College. Thora Partner received a call from sister Bessie Croft to say that she and another sister Ida Talt were there at her mother's Desn Hughes, so the Partners went to visit. The Dave. Rotes went to the St. George Temple last Friday to see their daughter Artolse married to Kenneth Piatt of Richfield. Then they enjoyed a reception and dance in the Bryce Valley gym. All members of the Rose family were there except Milton who is In Vietnam. Ken's parents, his brothers and sisters were also there Those from Pangultch who attended the reception were Jack and Ivadell Yardley and daughter, Mary Coon, the Robert Middletons, Eliza Moor Colleen Orton, Keith and Sharon Moore and son. Millie Chid ester and three children are spending the week at the Dave Rose home. Max and Kathy, Collin and Brenda Rose went to Salt Lake City on Saturday where they sang In Conference with the Cedar City Institute of Religion choir. Vee Smith spent the weekend at toe Lee Smith home. Boyd and Opal Alvey of Salt Lake and Ilene Coffman and children of Springvllle stopped to visit at the Smith home and to visit Earl Coffman. Dennis and Linda White and family of Cedar City visited over the weekend at the Brvan Johnson home and attended (continued Inside) HfcNRIEVILLE MfcLRA D. SMITH (continued in m trout page) the reception of Ken and Ar-toise Piatt. The Cloyd Nellson family was in town Sunday, they live in Panguitch now. Virginia Smith recently returned home from a tour that look the recipients to Reno, Nevada for an overnight stop, where she visited her daughter Gloria and husband. Alice Dunham of Cannonville was Virginia's traveling partner so Alice went along with them. A guide at San Francisco took the group sight seeing. 1 n Oakland all went to the Temple. At Los Angeles Temple ground Virginia got to visit shortly with her daughter Carolyn, her husband Lynn Davies and three children before going on with the group. Next stops were at Arizona, St. George, and Mantl Temples. At Manti Virginia met her sister David as husband Morris Smith wh i took her home to Genola. Let er she visited her sister Inez and husband Vincent Christen-sen and other counslns and old friends at Moroni before returning home. |
