Show TROPIC TOPICS U1XA ADAIR The Vivien Millett family went to Kanab to attend funeral services for her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adair went to Salt Lake for the funeral of Ella's sister, Mrs. Agnes Wilson Held. EvaDean Francisco and Le-ola Ott are home after being in the Panguitch Hospital for a number of days. Gayle Pollock had an appendectomy last week. The Bernell Twitchell family and the Dlaine Betenson family from Cedar visited with Thelma Jolley on Sunday. Mrs. Jolley has a birthday on February 9th. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Shake-spear and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Shakespear went with Danny Shakespear to the Manti Temple on January 31st prior to Danny's entering the Mission Home in Salt Lake. While in Manti they also visited with their-Aunt and Uncle the William Stalworthy's. The Alton Shakespeare and the Owen Shakespeare are home after visiting their children in Texas. And in Oklahoma with his mother's two sisters. Mrs. Flora LeFevre went Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Monte Willis and her son Russell to visit a few days. The Alton Shakespears visited relatives in St. George Friday and attended a session at the Temple. Sunday Garfield Stake Priesthood meeting and Primary Preparation meeting were held in the Tropic Ward Chapel. Charley Wintch had a birthday January 31st. Dick Allred and Ward Man-gum, also David Pollock and Larry Adair spent the weekend in town. Loram Pollock was home this past week from St. George. Scouting's Golden Jubilee program was held in Tropic Chapel Sunday evening with Earnest Riggs of Hatch as guest speaker. The Scouts put on a very interesting program. Mr. Joseph Allen and the John LeFevres accompanied a group of Seminary students to BYU Saturday. They toured places of interest at the campus and attended Sacrament meeting Sunday before returning home. |
