Show Bowlers Sizzle Kegling Records Topple Just Like Pins MEN'S SUMMER LEAGUE This past Wednesday night was our big "Ham Roll" night. Jack Sopcr garnered the big boneless ham by a 220 game. Harry Gardner and Dan Perkins each took home a picnic ham by rolling a 193 and a 188 respectively, which along with their handicaps gave them a high enough game to bring home the bacon, eh, we mean ham. Both league leaders continued their hot paces and remained one game apart. Bryce-way Ready-Mix downed Bill's Texaco 4 straight, while Yard-ley's Insurance rolled their 3rd 2000 or better series in a row to knock off the Kaibab-Crofts team 4 to 0. Conoco also took a quartet from Bern's Blacks. High man for the night was Jack Sopcr with a 220 game and a 556 series. Harry Gardner was next with a 193 and Pat Dix followed with 192. Kent Mclnelly followed Jack closely in the high series department with a 549, also followed by Pat with a 514. LADIES SUMMER LEAGUE June Krohn, of Al's TV Repair team, rolled the high single game in last week's play with a 170 and also the third high 3-game series of 420. Pat Hancock had second high game of 165 and second high 3-game series, 446; Nita North was 3rd with 161. Phyllis Mclnelly had high 3-game total of 456. The Cameron Tours team widened their lead in this second half by taking 4 points from Flying M, this gives them a total of 12 wins and 0 losses, followed by Al's TV Repair with Panguitch Bowl 5V4-6, Panguitch Drug 4-8, Tebbs Jewelry 3-9, Flying M 2-10. Dolly Henrie, Secretary FUN NIGHT AT THE ALLEYS Twelve couples changed partners and had a gay time at scotch doubles Friday night. Once again a husband and wife came up with high and second high. The team of Metta Whit-taker and Dell Cooper had. the grand total of 901 and Irene Cooper and Artie Woodard second high with 889. Peggy Farmer and Kent Nay were third high with 861. Receiving con-solatlon was the team of Pat Lemley and Scott Robinson. |
