Show PANGUITCH Mrs. Abbie R. Whltenton of Las Vegas and Mrs. Julia Dewey of Washington', Utah were overnight guests of their sister, Mrs. Ruby G. Myers, also visited another sister, Mrs. Su-sa Walker, and other relatives. They came to attend the golden wedding anlversary party of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Worth-en. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Miller are home after spending a few months in New Mexico where he was on SCS business. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Proctor visited recently at Salt Lake with their son Garth Proctor and family Lewis and Patsy Ann Leach are parents of their first child, a son born March 18th. Proud grandparents "Tare 'the'"' Keith Frandsens, their first grandchild, and the Bert Leaches who have three other grandchildren. Archie Alexander received word of the death of his sister, Mary Bell Alexander, 52, of Payson. Services and burial were Saturday at Payson. Double funeral services will be held at Santaquin at 1 p.m. this Saturday for Earl Smith's brother, Frank Max Smith, who died the first of the week in Calif., and for his father, who died Wednesday at Santaquin. Mrs. Myrtle Slack just returned home from Malta, Montana where she visited with her son Sheril Slack and family. Sheiil Is employed by the U.S. Forest Service and. Is doing conservation work on BLM land. The Henrie twins, Arlene and Marlene, and two friends were home for the quarter break, spending Friday and Saturday with their parents, the Bernard Henries, before returning to Logan where they are both finishing up at USU. Marilyn Veater was able to go home after spending more than a week in the hospital receiving medical care. Jack Knowles brought up a load of furniture last week' from San Jacinto, Calif, to his home here as they are moving back to stay for awhile. Jack and his wife Mary hope to be moved In by the middle of A-pril. He said he sold out his property in Calif, and hopes to make their home in "good old Panguitch where I can see a few Frindr every day, and do some traveling before it's too late." Lee Ann Farnsvorth visited at home during quarter break from CSU. Jeff Fee also visited at the Farnsworth home. The Southern Utah Pharmaceutical Assn. held a regional meeting and banquet at Mil-ford Saturday. A special Invitation was extended to Mr. Earl Marshall in recogition cf hs being the only pharmacist in this region to be starting on a second 50 years of business in the same town. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall attended the banquet and the next day they stopped off at Brian's Head Ski Lodge for dinner which was doubled In enjoyment by being able to look out at tho skiers through a picture window while dining. |
