Show f - GRIFFIN LOTT An exceptionally largo group of guests gathered in tho Escalante South ward recreation hall on the evening of October 27, to honor new-lyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis L. Lott, the former Pauline Griffin. The couple was married October 23 in the St. George LDS Temple, with President Harold B. Snow of f iciatlng at tho double ring ceremony. Those attending the ceremc- ny were: Mr. and Mrs. Clar-on R. Griffin, parents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce W. Lott, parents of the bridegroom; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Griffin, grandparents of the bride; Mrs. Janet G. Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Kim Sher-man, Mrs. Hilda Roundy, Mr. and Mrs. Orland Porter, and Mr. W. R. Barker, After the ceremony the newlyweds were honored at a wedding dinner at the Dick's Cafe with members of the wedding party attending. Reception decorations carried out an autumn color scheme of bronze, gold and orange. t ; For the occasion, the bride was attired in a floor length dress of white nylon lace and tulle over chromspun taffeta, with a scalloped neckline outlined with tiny seed pearls, the sweeping skirt of nylon tulle was appliqued with handkerchief points of nylon lace. The long, tapered sleeves were fastened with tiny satin covered buttons. A single tiered crown of nylon lace, seed pearls and crystals held her veil of french illusion and she carried a cascade of yellow rose buds, sterling silver roses and stephanotis, tied with white satin ribbons and lace. Mrs. Janet G. Spencer was matron of honor for her sister, Miss Renon Roundy was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were: the Misses Lana Alvey, Bonnie Spencer, Mar- 3 tha Rasmussen, and Billie j Jean Lott. j Don Lott served his broth- h er as best man ' and ushers 1 were Darrel Leamaster, Wen- j dall Wakefield 'and Pete j Grange. j The wedding cake was 36 j inches high, a part of its de- j coration was 36 baby orchids J sent from Hawaii by a friend of the bride, Miss Elaine Bailey, who also sent orchid j corsages for the bride and her mother. i The new Mrs. Lott gradu- J ated from Escalante High j School In 1961, attended the BYU, and CSU where she was a member of the student j center activity council. - h The bridegroom is a 1961 i graduate of North Emery : High School and attended Carbon College at Price. Following a honeymoon in Nevada they will make their homo in Cedar City where they are both continuing their studies at CSU. |
