Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS! Sealed proposals will beg received by the State Road Commission of Utah, State Capitol, Salt Lake City, Utah, ! until 2 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 1960, and at that time publicly opened for construction of a Double Concrete Culvert 26.92 0. to 0. in Garfield County, the same being situated on State Road No. 12 at the East Fork of the Sevier River 2 Miles West of the Bryce Canyon Entrance Identified as State Project No. 1681. The length of culvert to be constructed or improved Is 0.005 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: 140 Cu.Vds. of Class "A" Concrete (AE) and 10,600 Lbs. of Reinforcing Steel. The project is to be completed In 60 working days. Prequalification of bidders is required. Prior to any bidders receiving plans and specifications, it will be necessary that tho bidder have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed and approved, the required Prequalification Statement psrtalnlng to contractor's experience and financial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract. Not less than the general prevailing wage rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Utah, effective July 1, 1959, shall bo paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics employed on this project. Proposal forms, plans, cross sections and specif ications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and the office of the District Engineer at Richfield, Utah where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $5.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a letter from an approved surety company guaranteeing to furnish said bidder with required bond. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Cash, certified check, cashier's check, or approved proposal guarantee bond for not less than five per cent of total amount of bid made payable to the State Road Commission must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will executo the contract and furnish contract bond as required.
