Show GARFIELD COUNTY, UTAH, ORDINANCE NO. 42 AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THAT OFFICIAL BONDS BE FILED BY PRECINCT, COUNTY, AND DISTRICT OFFICERS, AND PRESCRIBING THE AMOUNT THEREOF, BEFORE ENTERING UPON THEIR OFFICIAL DU-TIES. Section 1. Before entering upon the discharge of their respective offices, the following County, Precinct' and District officers of Garfield County, State of Utah, shall execute, as required by law, Official bonds running to Garfield County, said bonds to be in the following amounts respectively: County Treasurer $10,000.00 County Clerk and Auditor $3,000.00 County Sheriff . . . $5,000.00 County Attorney $1,000.00 County Rec6rder . $1,000.00 County Assessor . $1,000.00 County Surveyor . $1,000.00 Justice of the Peace, each $1,000.00 Constables, each . $1,000.00 Deputy Sheriff, each $1,000.00 Section 2. Personal Bonds Fifty Per Cent Higher. The amounts in the next preceding section are for corporate surety bonds. If bonds with personal surety are furnished, the amount is fixed at fifty per cent higher than the foregoing amounts. Section 3. County to Pay for Corporate Bonds. If corporate surety bonds are furnished in the amounts and for the sums as hereinbefore set forth and shall be approved by the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, then and in that event Garfield County shall pay the premiums on said bonds; provided further that all premiums on bonds of County Commissioners as shall be approved by a District Judge of Garfield County shall be paid for by said Garfield County. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective 15 days after its publication in the Gat-field County News.
