Show Homecoming Held At Tropic Olcnc Pollock Named Homecoming Queen The annual homecoming for Tropic High School was held on April '2nd with 387 people In attendance. The activities Included a parade at 1:30 led by Mrs. SaraOtt Llttletleld and Mrs. Larene Ott Munson, first two to graduate from TILS; a program at 2:30, followed by an open house at the new building. In the evening a dance was held with Ol-ene Pollock, daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. Herman Pollock crown, ed as homecoming queen, Her attendants were Jeanette Shake-spear, Iris Stock, Patsy Haycok, Sandra Fletcher, Lelllts Baugh, Lael Nellson, Wynona Gouldlng, Helen Llttletleld, Janet Den. nett, Irene Ott andBeth Ott. Program presented by the alumni was: Prayer, James Munson; M.C., Mrs. Ella Adair; roll call showing tht following representation by class: 1 each from classes cf 33, 36, 41, 43, 48 and 52; 2 each from 32, 37, 38, 50; 3 from 42, 44, 61; four from 34; five from 35, 39, 40, 54; six from 49; seven from 53; nine fom 46; seventeen from 55. Sara Ott Ltttlefleld gave a reading; David Rose sang "Old Man River"; Reading by Len-ore Hall LeFevre; song by Del. na, Dellla, Mary and Elsa (Bar-ton sisters); accordlan solo by Dee Thompson Holley; song by Hatch sisters ( Beverly, Ferrl-land, LaFaun, RaVae); skit by FHA; song by Reva Quitter, Mary Etta Chynoweth, Mary-Wells, Relia Shakespear; read. Ing, Elfonda Sud weeks; song by Bob Kennedy, Garth and Junius Barton; dance by Mary Ethel Rlchlns. The class ot '45 held their 10 year reunion following the day's activities. |
