Mrs Wallis Edwards and baby of Spanish Fork are here on n visit, being guests of Mrs. Ed-wards' Ed-wards' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eph Coombs. Mrs. Caroline Jacobson and Mrs. Mary Backman returned last Saturday to Salt Lake City after a pleasant visit with Mr. and Mrs. M. Foisted. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Jacobson of Ilolbrook, Idaho, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. Foisted Thursday and Friday of last week. Swinyard and children returned to Salt Lake Citv Thursday, after a month's visit here and as guests of Mr. and Mrs. IT. P. Swinynrd. V. T. A. Baldwin of Victoria, Texas, parents of fl Mrs. S. C. Snider, are hero on a visit They are enrouto to the northwest and will visit Canada prior to returning to their homo in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pear-son Pear-son of West Jordan, spent the greater part of last week visit- fl ing with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Smith. Mr. Pearson is a brother of Mrs. Smith and rc-cently rc-cently returned from overseas fl duty. Dr. J. Edward Day took Ear-fl Ear-fl nel Nielson tb the Deo Hos- pltal in Ogden Tuesday where he was operated upon Wcdnes-day Wcdnes-day for appendicitis and other minor troubles. The operation was performed by Doctors Day and Robinson. The Jass, Lizz, Fizz, dancing party given at the Palace hall Tuesday evening was attended by a jolly crowd of young people who greatly enjoyed themselves, but the dancers were of the opinion that the local music is preferable. They returned yesterday. aiaaaH Miss Vida Farley of Ogden was a labt Sunday guest of Miss Neiile Barnard. Mrs. Waste, wife of Dr. John M. Waste has arrived from Oak-laud, Oak-laud, Cal., and will reside here with her husband. Being unable un-able to secure a suitable place in which to move into, Dr. and Mrs. Waste are making their home with Mr. and Mrs. It. V. Daniels at present. The Garland Military Band held a practice on the lawn at the home of Bishop nnd Mrs. Charles Munns Monday evening. even-ing. Wives nnd sweethearts of tho Band members were also 'guests and after the practice, a social followed and delicate refreshments re-freshments were served. Tho affair was a very pleasant social gathering and the Bishop and family were entertained by tho music. Bishop and Mrs. Charles Munns received a telegram Mon day evening to tho effect that Geo. Austin, tho 15-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Austin, had been killed near Evanston, Wyoming, that day. It seems that ho was riding a horse in rounding up Bhccp and the horse fell with him and he was found dead from tho effect of his injuries. The lad is a grand son of Mr. and Mrs. George Austin of Salt Lake City, and a relative of Mr. and Mrs. Munns. The funeral was held in Salt 'Lako Wednesday. SUSCltlBE FOR THE GLOBE Local Agent A.
