Dewoy mot in a family j. gathering at the Dewoyvillo school house Jan. 22nd 1910 The day was profitably and very pleasantly spent in sing-; sing-; ing, reciting, speeches, stories, games, etc., ending with a dance in tho evening, to which the entire en-tire ward was invited. Tho I, to Dewoy orchestra assisted by 1 Magnus Benson of Brigham City and Warren Sweeten of j Holbrook, furnished oxcellent JY music. A special feature of tho r J program was tho reading of a A journal kept by John 0. Dewey of his life, from his birth in Stroxton, Eng. to his death in Dewoyvillo; tho place named nftor him and which place ho presided over for 24 years. Among Am-ong tho visitors from a distance were John C. Dewoy, wife and baby of Emmit, Idaho, 0. K. Child, wifo and daughter Lottie, D. Campbell and little ones of Fnirviow, Wyo., Bp. W. A. Dewoy of Cambridge, Idaho, Mrs. w. w. Howard and son of Ttockland, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Sweeten of Holbrook, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Aired of Logan, Mrs. Martha May of Calls Fort, Magiius Benson of Brigham City, and Mrs. Susie 0. Hansen, who arrived one day to late for tho meeting. There are 15 living children, sons and daughters, of tho late Bp. Dewey and they wore all present except Bp. Geo. ' C. Dewey, who was taken ill with I appendicitis and was operated upon at tho Ogden General hospital two days before tho gathering. This of course cast a, gloom over tho family, but it was the Bishop's wish that tho mooting should go on. He is now doing nicely and will soon I bo homo.
