Show I Grand Masquerade. JA- Eho grand mask ball given at jffiyjjr the Manausa hall last Friday evening was a rousing success ' and proved to be a very pleasant affair. Over 60 characters were . i i represented, clowns, predomin- ating. Among the characters I . represented w ore monkeys, devils, clowns, indians, fairies, milk-maids, school girls, neg- t roes, chinamen, sailors, con- i ' victs, Spaniards, newspaper girls, jockies, day, night, hearts, diamonds, snow-balls, gypsies, 1 sunflowers, lillies and many others. The hall was jammed j ' with spectators and the Garland 1 orchestra furnished good music. Miss Mary Grover, "Indian lady,"' was awarded the first prize a handsome jewelry case and Clyde Lindsoy, "Sailor" was given tlih second prize, a tie pin. It was about 1 a. m. when the, danco concluded and all in at- i Jtendaneo were well paid for1 going. |
