Twenty-eight street crossings, that heretofore wero puddles of mud, aro now fixed up in excellent condition. Two loads of gravel was put at each crossing and a nleo walk iuado ; from corner to corner. j, i ! I I. Tho ladles, under direction of Mrs. J 0 ' Wheclon, served an excellent chicken n dluncr at the hall to all tho workers from 12 to 2 o'clock. 71 in nil partook of their hospitality and greatly enjoyed the din. I ncr. After dlnnsr the ladles, with mop- " sticks, brooms and other women's wca- pons, gave the hall a thorough cleaning ; out and made it look like u new piu.
