Show Bear River Stake Quarterly ...Conference... The quarterly conference of tho Bear River Stake was held in this city last Saturday and Sunday, July 10th and 11th. A meeting of tho stake presidency was held in the Tithing office at i) a. m. Saturday. Elders Geo. F: Richards and Anthony W. Ivins, of tho quorum of tho twelve apostles and Oleen N. Stohl, Prest. of tho Box Elder Stake were in attendance at the conference also tho Stake Presidency, Presi-dency, members of tho High Counsel, bishops of wards and n good representation of tho officers of tho various auxiliary organizations. At 10 a. m. -a meeting of tho High Counsel and bishops of wards was held in the same building, the stake presidency being in attendance. Officers' meetings of tho Reloif Society woro held at the Tithing Tith-ing office at 10a. m. and 2 p. m. Saturday. The Garland sisters furnished refreshments to tho visitors from the surrounding districts. . . At 11 a.' m. the High Priests quorum held 'aession at tho Garland hall and at 12:130 tho Seventies' quorum convened at the Garland school house. An officers' meeting of the Y. M. M. 1. A. was hold in tho Garland school house ut 11 a. m. and at 2 p. m. an officers' meeting meet-ing of the Y. L. M. I. A. convened con-vened in the same building. . The general priesthood meeting meet-ing was held at 2 p. in. at the Garland hall. Tho building was well filled and a good representation representa-tion from the various wards of the stake was in attendance. Stake Prest. Milton IT. Welling Wel-ling presided at all the sessions. The roll call showed 188 present at tho Prosthood meeting. The speakers were Prest. Oleen N. Stohl of the Box Elder Stake, Elders Geo. F. Richards and Anthony W. Ivins of the quorum of the twelve apostles and Stake Prest, Milton H. Welling. The ' opening prayer was oli'ered by Moroni Ward and the benediction pronounced by Bp. J. Smith Clark. The second quorum of Elders held a meeting at tho hall at 4:1-10 p. m. SUNDAY 10 A. M. 550 were present at the morning morn-ing session Sunday, which was givon over to the Sunday Schools, Sc-hools, Supt. B.urdett Smith in dhargo. Singing "America." Prayer by Moroni Ward Singing "Sweet is tho Work." Sacrament Sacra-ment administered by Archie Munns and Elmer Richards. Srcred music. A class oxorciso was given by 1st Int. Dopt. of tho Penrose Sunday School. Quartette Fred L. Rogers, Lora Clark, D. 0. Chapman and Belva Welling. Speakers EMor Geo. F.Richards, F.Rich-ards, subject Attonomont and Sacrifice; Elder Anthony W. Ivins, subject Lovo of God for Littlo Children. Singing "Our Mountain Home So Dear." Benediction by Geo. Henrie. SUNDAY 2 P. M. Attendance 070. Meeting called to order by Stake Prest. Milton II.. Welling. Singing by tho Garland choir, under direction of F. O. Haws, choistor "Como Dearest Lord." Prayer by J. W. Francom. Singing "All Hail the Glorious Day." Tho gonoral and stake authorities wove presented by Prest. Milton H. Welling and unqnimousally sustained. Counselors P. M. Hansen and Joseph Jensen addressed tho meeting and gave a report of the condition of tho stake. Tho choir sang tho anthem "Praise Ye the Lord". Prest. Milton H. Welling spoko on temperance and word of wisdom and gave some good counsel to tho saints. Elder Anthony W. Ivins delivered deliver-ed an address on the subject of the Gospel as fought by Christ and the Gospel as revealed by God in the latter days. Elder Geo. F. Richards encouraged tho latter-day saints to rid themselves them-selves of saloon evils and Sunday Sun-day work. The choir sang tho anthem "Daughter of Zion" and the benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by Bp. A. R. Capcner. RVUNING SESSION. A conjoint session of tho VT M. and Y. L. M. I. Assns. was held at tho hall in the evening. Prest. F. I). Welling reported tho V. M. M. T. A. and Prest, Rose Vanlleet gave an act ount of the y..L. AI. I. Assn. During tho ovening Mrs. Essie F,. Koulger and P. A. Nordquist sang vocal solos. The speakers were Elders Geo. F. Richards and Anthony V. Ivins. The choir sang the anthem "Enter Ye in at tho Straight Gate."
