Show H Ward Choir Doing. f. The Garland Ward Choir social given ''fat the Amuscmout Hall Friday evening 'was well attended and proved to bo one of the most pleasant social gatherings given this season. Dancing was engaged In, the music being furnished by the Garland Symphony Orchestra. During tho evening an elegant lap lunch was served to all present and an Interesting program consisting of songs! speeches, recitations, snstrumcntal music, etc., was carried out. Tho commltce in charge deserve much credit for their efforts In arranging the social. A detailed account of the affair will appear next week. mm mmt Membors of tho ward choir, husbands, wives and sweethearts, the bishopric and their wives and few Invited guests all participated in a pleasant slelgh-rldo Wednesday evening The sleighing party consisted of flvo slclgh-loads of jolly singers numbering about fifty people. The teamsters were T E Seer 1st, Wm. King, J .1 Shumway, F D Welling and Hj fPlcn Thompson. mw 'Wome of the lady members of the choir furbished two largo pans of excellent cream candy for tho occasion which was much appreciated by all. The choir then drovo out to II S Rice's place and gavo him a royal scranadc prior to bis departure After taking In tho town and vicinity the sleighs drove to the hall and unloaded tho occupants. All formed a circle around the stove and an impromp-tu impromp-tu program consltlng of solos, duets, se-lection se-lection from tho choir, speeches, debates, candy-eating contests, etc., etc., was carried out till tho midnight hour, when all dispersed havlug spent a very pleas-ant pleas-ant eTcniug.
