Show Arbor Day. ArVu- Day was generally observed in IliU city and surrounding settlements In titling sty!.'. Tbe business bouses closed and The U ah. Sugar Co. gave their employees em-ployees a holiday. Thu Military Band was out In full dress and marched about own dicoursing strains of music and showing their patrollon. In the morning morn-ing tho teachers and children of the public pub-lic schools gathored at tho school houses and gave the yards and surroundings a general clean up. Planting of trees, clearing off rubbish and beautifying private residences and public places was Indulged In during the forenoon. The Amusement Hall was not overlooked and the grounds present a tidy appearance. The children, with baskets of colored Easter egg held over from tho previous day, scaled the hills and vales in quest of flowers. In the afternoon the attraction of an enthusiastic gamo of base ball brought out a good-sized crowd at tho Athletic Park. It was a gamo of "chooso up sides" and broke In an eveu score of 10 to in.
