Show C4 The Emery County Review, Tuesday, July 22, 2008 CASTLE VALLEY PAGEANT Most Cast Members Have Long History with Pageant Many of the cast of the Castle Valley Pageant have been involved with the production for many years, some since its inception. Family involvement in the pageant has passed from one generation to the next and the cast devotes weeks of their time preparing to perform for the thousands who visit for the pageant. Every performance year sees the inclusion of new cast members as they take part in the pageant for the first time and begin a family tradition of their own. A list of the actors playing major parts in the Castle Valley Pageant follows: Shane Nielson and Chris Nielson will play the Narrator of the Pageant, with Logan Ewell, Collettee McElprang and Bret Nielson playing the child of the Narrator. Tony Conder of Ferron will play the Prophet Brigham Young who issues the call for settlers from Sanpete Valley to settle in the Castle Valley. Brent and Ellen Hadfield, and Jeff and Joyce Guymon will play Wink and Anna, who answer the call to settle in the Castle Valley, even though their baby would be born soon. Cory and Shannon Cloward, and Ryan and Darcey Johansen will play John and Clara. Clara has a difficult time leaving the comforts of her home in Sanpete Valley to live in a dugout in Castle Valley. Kirk and Misty Christiansen, and Kyle and Janell Beagley will play Joe and Tilda, who lose their baby boy on the way to Castle Valley. Levi Swasey and John Conder will play Abe who struggles with following his desire to secure land in Castle Valley or staying and marrying Neva. Megan Singleton, Tara Tuttle, Tamra Luke and Janelle Urie will play Neva, who refuses to leave with Abe for Castle Valley because she will not give up her temple marriage. Montell and Kathryn Seely and Wayne and Tracy Urie will play Neva’s parents Rasmus and Gladys. Scott Labrum and Chris Justice will portray the resurrected Jesus Christ in the Americas. Marilee Cox and Michelle Anderson will play Millie, who travels to Castle Valley as a midwife for Anna. Brian and Roseann Dawes, and Eddie and Brenda Deto will play Aub and Utahna, the Indians who are taught the gospel. Rodney Ewell and Bart Cox will play Bishop Seely, the bishop for the new Castle Valley settlement. Wayne Roberts and Al Christensen will play Jesus Christ, when He is crucified, and Scott Labrum and Chris Justice will play Christ when after His resurrection, He visits the Nephite people in the Americas.
