Show X X 11 TITLE RUN RECAP : GAME 4 Dons come back in 7th to defeat Alta John Jackson STAFF WRITER Spanish Fork 10 Alta 4 Don't let the score fool you — this game was a nail-biter right up until the final inning. In a classic battle of great teams, the Dons entered the final inning trailing 4 - 3 . Up until this point, the scrappy Alta team had hit senior Brock Duke about as well as anybody had during his great high school career. Alta was able to piece together enough hits to score runs in the first and second, and two in the fourth. The Dons scored two in the second inning when Brock Duke hit a single and scored on a triple by Braden Warren. Warren was able to score on a sac. fly from Adam Duke. The sixth-inning run was scored by Trevor Randolph, who had drawn a walk. Randolph scored on an RBI-singlc from Greg Money. The Dons entered the seventh trailing and in jeopard) of having to play another game to stay alive. Instead, this group of champions rallied for seven runs to put the game out of reach and catapult them into the following day's championship game. Singles by Adam Duke and Hadley Thorpe, followed by Brett Grover getting hit by a pitch, loaded the bases for Trevor Randolph. Randolph hit a two-run single to score Duke and Thorpe.
