The Dance Company is under the direction of Brenda Mason. The girls have been working hard this school year to learn new routines and prepare for several upcoming programs. The school children were delighted with their dance routines to Still, Still, Still, and Kidnap Mr. Sandy Claus, and a special interactive Christmas story. The Dance Company seniors, Ginger Christopher, Melanie Maughan, Jocelyn Waite and Heather Warner, also performed solo routines. Their performance set a great spirit for all, just prior to the holiday break. She currently helps out at Canyon Elementary School in the Mrs. Hutching's first grade class. Sarah has always wanted 'to"be a first grade teacher and was excited to be able to have the opportunity to experience what her future career will be like. "I just wanted to see how I would like it," said Sarah, "I love it! It's exciting to be in a classroom, teaching the kids and helping them to understand new concepts. I do lots of things to help out. During this time the Ambas- Courtesy photo JUNIOR WEEK: SFHS juniors are gearing up for Junior Week, Jan. 20-24, 2009. sador choir, from Spanish Fork High, had the opportunity to go out and serve our community. They were able to go to the Mountain View Hospital in Pay son, and Christmas carol for the patien.ts, which were there over this holiday season. The patients had smiles on their faces and some also sang along to the songs they knew. Along with other services the Ambassadors have done, they were able to collect food for the hungry during Thanksgiving. The Ambassadors love service opportunities and helping the community and would like to thank everyone who has helped in any way to make these successful. SFHS gets ready for Junior Week Bookstore offers new merchandise Kyler Gifstrap SFHS Junior Week is almost here; with a lot of fun events planned such as shaving a balloon, eating a muffin with chopsticks, and a giant game of Twister. This week will be the week to remember for the juniors the highlight of their year. The Juniors aren't the only ones benefiting from this week. The school will be having a dance finishing up the week. The creative new theme for Recession is coming at you straight from the 70s, The4 Duct Tape Disco; where everyone will be able to come in bright neon colored duct tape, also to show the creativity of the students at SFHS. Junior week will start on Tuesday Jan. 20, finishing on the Jan. 24, 2009 with the dance. Josie Osborn SFHS New merchandise is now available at Spanish Fork High School in the Finance Office. SFHS employee, Teri Hales, has been working hard in order to bring forth SFHS attire to be available for the whole community. The high school's finance office now offers miscellaneous school supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, etc., for students who are on the go and also an assortment of SFHS t-shirts, baseball hats, and zip-up and pull-over hoodies. Sizes, prices and colors are as follows: hats - $20; t-shirts, adult sizes - (red or black) $10; zip-up hoodies, adult sizes - (red, black, or gray) $30; and pull-over hoodies, youth and adult sizes $20.
