Each semester you may look at your tuition increases and note that many of the dollars you dedicate to UVSC each semester go towards student fees. These student contributions are key to many of UVSC's organizations and departments and this includes our resident student government, the Associated Students of Utah Valley State College, also known as ASUVSC. ASUVSC is funded solely through student fees, an income that is determined on the dollars that UVSC students remit at the outset of each semester. Participating in ASUVSC isn't just an opportunity to contribute to the campus, but its members are awarded monetarily as well. This reward comes in the form of a scholarship that covers the cost of in-state tuition. After touring, showing the world that he wasn't just another musician to sound good only in studio, Mayer released a live, two-disc concert album and DVD. Council members receive leadership training at yearly retreats, which include the Utah Leadership Academy, and even an ASUVSC sponsored "Leadership Day" that promotes networking with all of Utah Valley State's student leaders.
