Its just one of the many way's that the new facilities have improved efficiency and created savings in time and money . . . savings that will be shared with customers in the form of reduced service costs through use of advanced equipment and techniques. The sales and service boulevards, strategically placed on the grounds, provide easy access to all areas of the dealership. This new concept in layout and design has brought the terminology "The Department Store of Automotive Shopping" into common usage at Ken Garffs. And a department store it is, with everything from parts to brand new cars available, as well as all kinds of serto vicing from minor tune-up- s major frame, engine and body . repairs. The body and frame repair and paint shop is housed in a A Mew Concept e separate buildng near the complex, thereby keeping these closely interrelated (yet autonomous) departments close together. Ken Garff Co. handles any kind of body, the frame, and paint work only area they dont specialize in its custom upholstering. Routine mechanical maintenance and repairs are handled in the main service building. This brand new structure contains three distinct service areas with a number of bays for each area. The bays at the west end are reserved for "quick-servic- e only, such as motor tune-up- s and lubrication. Six bays at the east end are used fcr major repairs that are more involved and, therefore, require more time in the shop. Each of these boys can accommodate up to five cars at a time, making use of the building and adja-meservice boulevard areas. In the center of the service technibuilding is the three-bacal diagnostic center. Here, highly specialized equipment can locate many delicate and elusive problems that would main-servic- ... y CONGRATULATIONS take much valuable time io track down by older inspection methods. Equipment in this area includes engine analyzers for detecting electical and fuel system problems, wheel alignment analysis devices that also check individual wheel bearings and brakes without dismounting the wheels, and many other specialized tools and sophisticated devices for quick, accurate diagnosis of any automotive problems. Through use of the diagnostic center, Ken Garff Co. is able to save service customers much expense that would be incurred through any other methods of detection now available to automotive service departments. In sum, the newly renovated Ken Garff Companys oldsmobile dealership is designed with beauty and customer service foremost in mind.
