The 75th Security Forces Squadron, as well as the Layton City and Clearfield City police quickly responded to the situation and assisted in rerouting traffic to other gates. The item was later determined not to be a concern. "Our response time is a reflection of our quality training, teamwork and the professionalism of our service members and local law enforcement," said Maj. Matthew McConnell, 75th Security Forces Squadron commander. "Anytime we have an instance like this come up, we take it very seriously and act accordingly.
