BASIC CARTOONING CLASS begins Nov. 11, 11 a.m.-l p.m. Cost is $40 per student, supplies included. This class is open to kids ages 10 & older. The purpose of this course is to help develop the imagination and to bring out abilities that some never thought were there. DEVELOPING WOODWORKING EQUIPMENT SKILLS CLASS begins Nov. 8 from 5:30-8 p.m. at a cost of $30 per student plus materials for two-week class. Students will get certified on woodworking equipment. Ron Snorgrass, Instructor. DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS begins Nov. 1, 5-7 p.m., four-week class. Cost is $35 per student. Instruction includes types of cameras, point and shoot, mega-pixel -which is best, lenses, field depth, controls and exposure, film speeds, file types, composition, lighting and photographing people. Cost is $55 per student and supplies are not included. This class is divided into six four-week courses each focusing on a different area of watercolor. Contact Rob Snorgrass, instructor, for more details at 725-0041. INTERMEDIATE STAINED GLASS CLASS begins Nov. 7, 5:30-8 p.m., five-week class. Cost is $49 per student plus $30 for materials. Students will learn the technique of lead came. Students will construct a panel with bevels and colored glass. Learn how to draw a pattern and then lead came, solder it, make a rectangular panel starting with lead, cut the lead came, and cement and finish the piece. Ron Snorgrass, si Instructor. (j BASIC STAINED GLASS CLASS Tuesdays beginning Dec. 5, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cost is $49 per student plus $20 for materials. During the five-week class, students will make at leasl one copper foil project and will learn the copper foil technique" of making stained glass. Inside studio techniques will be shared and instruction will be supplemented with handouts. Classes are held in the large classroom with free use of all tools and equipment such as grinders and soldering irons. For a small fee, students are welcome to use this space outside of classroom hours. All students will use the same pattern and glass provided by the instructor. Ron Snorgrass, Instructor. WIZARD MAT CUTTING CLASS (Computerized Mat Cutter) available. Call the Frame shop at 586-0567 for dates and times. Prerequisite for this class is basic framing. Class instruction will include how to set up the machine, cutting * single and multiple openings, oval and circles, use of templates and how to import them into a design, how to cut on different types of mats, safety for operator and the machine, and designing mat openings and art cuts. WOOD SHOP EQUIPMENT CERTIFICATION CARD CLASS every Wednesday and Thursday, 4:30-5:30 p.m. ^^^f at a cost of $3 per student. ADVANCED FOLK ART CLASS begins Nov. 14, 5-8 p.m., four-week class. Cost is $30 per student. Students will learn the history of Folk Art and practice the skills needed to paint in this style. Students will learn the proper method for preparing wood and metal surfaces and discuss the supplies needed including brushes and how to clean and store them. The class will also concentrate on how to load the brush, how to execute beautiful strokes and learn a variety of other techniques.
