As soon as weather and arena conditions permit, practices will begin. They will be held at the Liberty Arena every Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. The Liberty Jr. Posse will be participating in the July Jamboree with all the other posses from Weber County. Anyone ages 8 through 17, as of January 1, 2000, is invited to come and join in the fun. So get that horse shod, that bridle and saddle cleaned, and those boots dusted off, and let’s ride and have lots of fun this summer! For more information, contact Marv or Madelyn Evans at 745-3415. Day of Activities Planned for National Trails Day Ogden Valley Pathways is joining other local trails groups in celebrating National Trails Day on Saturday, June 3. The activities will begin with a kickoff at Rainbow Gardens with an 8-kilometer time predicted run. Events in Ogden Valley will begin with breakfast at the Eden Park bowery beginning at 8:00 a.m. There will also be a ceremony at the Pineview North Arm trailhead in Eden to dedicate the Pineview West Trail that was recently completed by the U.S. Forest Service. The Pineview West trail runs south, paralleling Highway 162 from the North Arm trailhead in Eden to the Windsurfer Beach parking lot. National Trails Day is designed to encourage trail development using publicprivate partnerships. Locally it is sponsored by Weber County Pathways, Ogden Valley Pathways, and the Ogden Trails Network Planned June 3 events include: 8:00 a.m. Run at Rainbow Gardens 8:00 a.m. Breakfast at Eden Park (by Eden Park board) 9:00-10:00 a.m. Kickoff ceremony, breakfast, and equipment expo at Rainbow Gardens 9:00-10:30 a.m. Trail Building at Pineview West Trail 10:00 a.m. Hike at Rainbow Gardens 10:00-noon Trail Building at Nature Center North 10:30 a.m. Pineview West Trail Dedication and Award Ceremony, followed by hike on Pineview West Trail Noon Trail Dedication, Lunch, and Nature Center demos at Nature Center North Fishing Clinic Mitch Montgomery slams dunks at the Valley Tournement Berkley Representatives: Mike Hall, Cory Nielsen and George Sommer.
