May 17: The Eccles Community Art Center will be offering an Art Tour to BYU and Springville Art Museums. Join us in visiting their exhibits Mahonri: A Song of Joy, Chihuly Baskets: Sculpture in Glass, and Springville’s Annual Spring Salon. The bus will leave from the art center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden at 9 a.m. and will return around 5 p.m. A sack lunch will be provided. May 22: A five-day workshop with Adrian Van Suchtelen, professor of Fine Arts at Utah State University will be offered at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden. The workshop will be held May 22nd through May 26th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Drawing and Printmaking will be the theme. Tuition: $135. Some supplies may need to be purchased. Dr. Robert Arway will be presenting The Life and Art of Raoul Dufy. Dufy was a 20th century French artist associated with “The Fauves” (wild beasts).
