Grant was born June 24, 1929, the son of John W. and Edna Johnson Crezee. He spent part of his childhood in Huntsville, Utah and part in Idaho Grant Crezee after his father was killed in an explosion, eventually moving to Idaho to live with his uncle. His siblings, now deceased, are Jean, Deon, and Rulon. He married Marilyn Creamer June 8, 1953. They had three children: Lowell, Vivian and Vanessa (deceased). They also have nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The Brian and Lillian Godwin and Ginnie and Pete Howard family also claim the Crezees as grandparents. Grant worked as a floor mechanic for about 50 years. In 1961, he went to Hawaii to teach the natives how to lay a new floor covering. He also spent four years in San Jose, California working in urban renewal. He has been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of his life, serving in many different capacities. He has lived in Mountain Green the last 47 years. You are invited to join us for a 90th birthday celebration in honor of Grant, which will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The open house will be held in Mountain Green, Utah at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 5378 W. Obituaries Lori Anne Schreiter February 22, 1971 ~ May 18, 2019 Lori Anne Schreiter, 48, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019, surrounded by her family and friends, after a six-year battle with breast cancer. She was Lori Schreiter born February 22, 1971, the daughter of Gordon Lee and Valayne Inez Halverson White. Lori grew up in Ogden, attended Polk Elementary, Mt. Ogden Jr. High, and graduated from Ogden High School. Lori married Derek Curt Schreiter June 19, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked at FedEx as a courier for over 20 years, and spent most of that time in the Ogden Station surrounded by wonderful people. Her family wishes to thank them for giving so much love and kindness in her time of need. Lori blessed every life she encountered and will be loved, missed, and celebrated by all who knew her. Lori had an amazing sense of humor and stayed positive no matter what struggle she was facing. Lori was an avid gardener and loved spending time outdoors. Lori is survived by her husband, Derek Schreiter of Ogden, Utah; son Alex Schreiter of Ogden, Utah; daughter, Hailey Schreiter of Ogden, Utah; father, Gordon (Gerry) White of Farr West, Utah; brothers Edward (Lorna) White of Warrensburg, Missouri and Mike White of Eden, Utah; and sister Michele (Scott) Beutler of Cottonwood Heights, Utah. She was preceded in death by her mother. A Celebration of Life for Lori was held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Union Grill, 315 24th St., Ogden, Utah. Richard “Dick” Cunningham, 80, died May 31, 2019. Obituaries Jack Meyer Horting February 11, 1935 ~ May 18, 2019 Jack Meyer Horting, age 84, passed peacefully away at home May 18, 2019. He was born February 11, 1935 to Guy Jack Horting and Ella Bear Horting in Filer, Idaho—the youngest of six children. He graduated from Richfield (Idaho) High School in 1953, and joined the U.S. Air Force that fall. He married Sharon Rae Tripp in Salt Lake City, June 5, 1958, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. They resided in Layton, Utah for most of their marriage, and celebrated their 60th anniversary in June 2018. Jack retired from Hill Air Force Base after more than 30 years, working as an aircraft elec- Lyra Judith Ebanks April 24, 1932 ~ May 26, 2019 Lyra Judith Ebanks, 87, of Eden, Utah, was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord May 26, 2019. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in Lyra Ebanks God gave her courage and peace throughout her life. Lyra was born in Grand Cayman Island to the late Captain Newton and Christina Yates on April 24, 1932. Growing up, she was one of 11 children on her father’s farm near the island’s West Bay. After high school graduation, she remained to run a local restaurant as manager and cook. She married the love of her life, William Edmund Ebanks, January 9, 1954 in Folkston, GA. She and Edmund had two children, Eddie and Emily, whom they raised in Tampa, Florida. From the very beginning, she raised her children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord Georgia Whitaker Rohde October 23, 1942 ~ May 28, 2019 On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, Georgia Whitaker Rohde, beloved wife and mother, passed away at home in Liberty, Utah. Georgia Rohde She was 76. Born to George and Lois Whitaker in 1942, Georgia was beautiful, bright, kind, and creative. She was sealed to her sweetheart Richard W. Rohde in 1961. Georgia was the mother of 5 children, grandmother of 19, and great-grandmother of 2 (and counting)! She nurtured, loved, supported, and served each member of her family. One of her greatest joys was gathering them together to share food, fun, and faith. Georgia’s life was truly one of service. She volunteered, showed-up, shared, taught, and worked tirelessly for the comfort and wellbeing of others. Skillful, generous, and talented, trician, and later a maintenance scheduler. After retirement, Jack spent most of his time at their recreational property near Lava Hot Springs. He enjoyed motorcycle and ATV riding, camping, and traveling across the west with family and friends. Jack is survived by three children: Christine (Doug) Jones, of Redmond, Oregon; David (Jackie), of West Haven; Andrew (Krista), of Eden; and three grandchildren, Nathan, TJ and Johanna. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister (Margaret), and four brothers—William, Thomas, Harold, and Robert. Special thanks to Blake of Visiting Angels, and Madison, Kenzlee, and Kathleen of Hospice OneCare for their dedication and support these last few weeks. Lyra was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time for her children, family, and friends. She loved child care, cooking, sewing, gardening, and reading the bible. Lyra is survived by her son Eddie Ebanks (wife Linda Leimkuehler) of Overland Park, Kansas; daughter Emily Ebanks Wiener (Jeff), Eden, Utah; grandchildren Harrison Wiener (Anna Leon), Tacoma, WA; Jordan Wiener, Savanah, GA; and great-grandchild (expected June 19) Tacoma, WA; her sister Inez Bodden (Kirby), Tampa, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by nine of her siblings and her husband. A viewing for Lyra was held at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, Utah Friday, May 31. Her funeral was held in Tampa, Florida June 5 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, and was buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Georgia and Richard lived and raised their family in Albuquerque, New Mexico from 1967 to 1982; in Livermore, California until 1992; then back in New Mexico until 2001. They retired in Liberty, Utah where Georgia created a haven and playground paradise for her grandchildren. Georgia’s natural grace and kindness were evident throughout her life and to the very end. Even when words were scarce, she loved others with her ready smile and twinkling eyes. Richard Rohde and his family express sincere gratitude to the caregivers of Legacy Healthcare and the members of the Liberty Second Ward who tenderly ministered to Georgia during her final weeks on earth.
