We have started serving breakfast again on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to noon! The Legion has also transitioned into its summer hours, which are: • Monday thru Thursday, 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. • Friday & Saturday, noon – midnight • Sunday, 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Come by and enjoy the music lineup in June, which includes Band Echo June 18, Spot & Waldo performing both June 8 and June 15, and Karene Greenwood performing June 29. The American Legion still hosts Taco Wednesday with live music from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Karaoke on Saturday June 8, 11 and 25. Chapter of Sons of Utah Pioneers announces a tour of yet another of Utah’s historical sites. We plan to trek to the location of the historic “Cache Cave” near Evanston, Wyoming on June 18. This early site played a significant role in the arrival of the Mormon pioneers to the Salt Lake Valley. Plan to meet at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18 at the Huntsville, Utah LDS chapel. We will Fawset ranch near Evanston, Wyoming. Those desiring to attend may also meet at the Fawset Ranch at 9:00 a.m., if preferred. On the return trip, plans have been made to also view the “Battlements” in Echo Canyon that were associated with the military threats in the early days of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For more information, call 801-745-3133 or visit <detoursutah.com> Art Space Open House Planned for June 18 Mountain Arts and Music Art Space is a gallery of Ogden Valley Creativity, and is hosting an open house June 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Eden Center. The open house will have live music, a silent auction of works by artists in the gallery, face painting, plein air art, and other working artist activities. Stop by and visit the Art Space. T-Shirts dyed with dyers woad will also be on sale! Located in one of the cabins in the Eden Center (across from the post office), the usual hours of Art Space are Thursday thru Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. When you visit the Art Space, you will see the work of ten local artists. The work is varied and includes photography, oil paintings, metal art, jewelry, and pottery. Come visit the Art Space, and enjoy the open house! Mountain Arts and Music want to congratulate Marie Cassas who was awarded honorable mention for her photography at the Bountiful Davis statewide art competition. There were 500 entries, with only three winners and seven honorable mention awards. Come see Marie’s work in the Art Space! We also congratulate Trish Painter, who won first place for her pen/ink drawing of Sydney and the Bug in the amateur division of the Brigham City Art-Tell contest held in April. This year the Open Market has made the application process for vendors much easier and greener by having an online vendor application form. We already have a number of favorite vendors (produce, food, arts & crafts) returning as well as a number of new and exciting vendors! Many of the Mini Market vendors (youth vendors ages 8-17 years old) will be retuning as well. This year’s tournament will be held Thursday, June 9 with check-in and breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and a Shotgun Start at 9:00 a.m. In conjunction with other supporting entities, as well as our local legislative representatives, we continue to work toward the establishment of a Welcome Center in Ogden Valley, the aim of which is to better serve the 1 million visitors who recreate here every year. The OVBA has lowered this year’s cost for sponsorship to $400. Additionally, any business owner not currently an OVBA member who for free! In addition to fielding a team of four players, all participating sponsor businesses are encouraged to represent their business by greeting golfers at one of the course’s 18 holes.
