In fact, we are running this campaign without taking any monetary contributions and asking people who would otherwise contribute Farley Anderson to remember that in this time of great need, there are far better uses for money than political races. Peter Corroon Democratic Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon, is running to the next governor of our great state of Utah because he wants to focus on the basics—the basics of our economy, education and quality of life. Peter Corroon was elected in November 2004 as Peter Corroon mayor of Salt Lake County, and was re-elected in 2008 with 66% of the vote. Mayor Corroon has consistently prioritized quality government through fiscally responsible policies that reflect his goal of an open, honest, and ethical government; and economic development policies to create better, higher paying jobs. Mayor Corroon has proven to be fiscally conservative. In 2009, he bucked his own party and vetoed a tax-increase.
