Wikstrom Economic and Planning Consultants Complete Eden Feasibility of Incorporation Study Wikstrom Economic and _ Planning Consultants, Inc. have completed the Eden Feasibility of Incorporation Study as requested by petition of the residents and by the Weber County Commissioners. The results will be presented by the consultant to the public in meetings being scheduled and arranged by the County. The meetings will be held at Snowcrest Jr. High on September 20 and October 5 at 7:00 p.m. on both days. All residents within the proposed boundary are invited to attend one or both of these meetings. The Eden Incorporation Research Citizens Committee feels the study is thorough. The work shows increased taxes will be required to incorporate at this time. The current committee feels it has met the mandate given in January of 2003 to determine the costs of incorporation. Whether incorporation continues to be pursued will depend, in large measure, on public feedback from the scheduled meetings. Will the ability to elect our local government, giving us a greater voice in the direction of our town, be worth the extra cost? Please make an informed recommendation. To begin the process of becoming familiar with the study, here are a few excerpts: Remember that the County Commissioners decided Option 1 would omit all of Wolf Creek property and hundreds of residences while Organizers Plan Ogden Valley Service Project Option 2B would omit Worldmark The Club, Wolf Star condos, and the commercial portion of Wolf Creek from the boundaries. This created the irregular boundary noted by the consultant. Organizers, in conjunction with the U.S Forest Service, are inviting private and nonprofit organizations, community church groups, and individuals to participate in a community wide service project targeting garbage and debris littering the beaches of Pineview Reservoir.
