Join us for a free Nature/Bird Walk observing birds, mammals, butterflies, dragonflies, wild flowers, and other natural elements as we encounter them. The walk is often a “ride” in the car, which makes a great blind. When we do walk, areas are normally wheel chair accessible and designated as low degree of difficulty. We meet at the Wild Bird Center between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m., and depart the store at 8:00 a.m., unless otherwise posted. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars (loaners are available). He has been doing it full time for about two years now. Craig’s trap shooting team went to nationals last year and had a great time. In their age bracket, they placed in the top 15 out of 70 plus teams. Nationals is made up of the top three teams in each division for each state. There are five divisions. Utah has 15 teams going back to nationals this year. Craig will compete with a five member team, with a sixth person going as an alternate. At state you shoot 200 rounds. Team member Craig shot an 89 his first round and a 99 his second round, for a total of 188. Raymond Palaocios shot a total of 155; Chris Pino, 170; Rachel Kroczka, 151; and Andrew Leath, shot a total of 184. Alternate shooter Chandler Christiansen shot a total of 165. These young men and women belong to the Hill Rod & Gun Club/Roughriders Scholastic Clay Target Program.
