And the adage holds true even with the fantastically famous fast food places. Some burger joint came up with the idea to offer a salad bar to their customers. The next thing you know, every quick stop sandwich shop was offering every lettuce lovers delight; rabbit food deluxe; salad bar supreme. Then somebody else decided salad bars weren't enough and they appealed to the Mr. Potato Head in us all. Potato bars became the rage. Of course, the typical spud butter, sour accompaniments cream and chives weren't enough. No, you could have anything on your baked potato your little heart desired, from broccoli and bacon, to stroganoff and cheese. And what's that integral part of everybody's morning? Yep! Breakfast. But someone realized that to some people, breakfast was more than a hot cup of coffee on the run. If you can cal lunch on the run, why not breakfast? Get off to a really great start. McMuffins started many . a mortal's morning. Places started offering breakfasts, and not just the hot roll, toast and OJ morning meal. We're talking full fledged bacon and eggs, biscuit and gravy, french toast and hash brown break- fast. Then the fast food families sort of found the Dock. There seemed to be an era of one hundred and one easy ways to serve chicken different from the Colonel. There were chicken breast, chicken pressed and chicken messed and ' parts that sandwiches; were just parts. We had tidbits and nuggets and niblets and bits. But your basic burger bam began boasting chicken. Now we're being offered a myriad of specialty salads, for those of us not creative enough to use the salad bars, I guess. There's shrimp salads, chicken salads, chef salads, dinner salads, Caesar salads, oriental salads... one could surely write a salad ballad. Who knows what's next? Make your own won ton? Mix your own soup? Create your own burger? I'm sure someone will come up with something to out do the Jones. OAKLEY, 1 ' 3500 169,000. ROCKPORT ESTATES, Lot 76. Beautiful homesite. 7,500.
