Soon, however, wastes from the city's busy mines and mills made the waters run murky and discolored, causing residents to aptly rename the little stream "Poison Creek". From-thatime, trout have neither spawned nor lived in "Poison Creek": but recently, there have been reports that fish are returning to the tiny brook. In fact, fishermen angling within the Park City limits or very nearby could be .surprised by some of the finest catches in the county.' Fishermen must first, however, be aware that a very old Square, eventually joining the Weber River near Wanship. There have been few reports of catchable fish on Upper Poison Creek; but on the lower regions of the stream east of Prospector, there are some excellent catches of Rainbows. Brook Trout and a few Wily Browns in the deeper holes. The "Golf Course" stream begins at the mouth of Spiro Tunnel, meandering northerly through Park Meadows where it becomes McLoed Creek. It eventually flows into East Canyon creek and into the reservoir of the same name. Fishing is good to excellent from most banks of the stream within the city limits.
