The new ordinance, which goes into effect this week, requires the registration of all dogs through the purchase of a license and tag. And, provides for enforcement. School Board North Summit School Superintendent John Meek submitted his resignation to the School Board in April. Since then, the School Board has been advertising for applications. Several have been accepted and are now being reviewed by the Board. Brown of Hoytsville recently announced his candidacy for the flistrict f6 Legislative "seat-hpresently holds. District 66 includes Morgan. Rich. Summit and parts of Davis and Weber Counties, and is one of Utah's largest geographically. Originally appointed to the Utah House by the Governor in June of 977. Rep. Brown, a Republican, successfully ran for election in 1978. Nance Hutchinson, who has lived in Wanship for four years has taken the position of Public Health Nurse. Nance received her Registered Nursing Degree from the University of Charleston in 1969. Her Utah experience includes working at the University of Utah Medical Center. Holy Cross and Medical Center. Nance has four children: Heather. David. Mark and Hillary. Her husband. David, is an Engineer Salesman for Con Tro Flo Company in Salt Lake City. Nance's major concern upon taking this job has been misconceptions that people have about the role of the Public Health Nurse. The most common misconception pertains to school nursing. Many people believe that Nance's role is only attending to the needs of the North Summit School Doxev-Halc- h -- District. However,, the Public Health Nurse has many functions beyond the school setting. These include maternal and infant care, child health, communicable di- seases. mental and physical health, and geriatrics.
