Born May 3, 19124 in Newago, Michigan to Joseph Olafand Isabella Gertrude Simonson Helmer. Married Joseph Edwin (Ted) Olpin March 14, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Later divorced. Edith grew up in Chicago where she worked as a telephone operator for Chicago Bell. During World Warn while Ted served over seas, Edith lived in Chicago with her ftmily. she was one of the many women who became riveters in building air craft fin our country during the war. Ted and Edith later moved to Roosevelt and opened the Olpin Mortuaiy as avownerand partner for 24 years. They ran the ambulance and mortuary business. In the early years she would prepare and serve food for the families like the RJ3 does tortay. Leaving Roosevelt she lived in Chicago until 1976, retumingto Utah and making her home in Tigan. She worked for USU food services and Scriber Foods until her health declined. She was active in the LDS Church, aervingin many capacities. She earned her Golden Gleener Award. She loved drama, singing, and operas. She belonged to the BPW. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She endured many physical challenges throughout her lift and endured to the end with a great sense of humor. Survived by her sons and daughters, Joe Olpin of Sacramento, CA; Nancy Kay (Geary) Hansen Alta Eileene Olpin ofLogan; Edith (Gordon) Branson ofKingston, WA; David Helmer (Terri) Olpin of West Jordan; 18 grandchildren and SEEBamsaaimiS Quetta Dixon Howard Q. Felicia Ann Mart F. Mart Felicia Ann Mart, 38, of Whiterocks, passed away March 24, 2001 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center from a long term illness. She was bom July 11, 1962, in Roosevelt, UT to Felix Alton and Barbara Poowegup Mart Felicia epjoyed doing needlework, She both embroidery andcroes-etitchadabigheart for little kids and they were drawn to her because of her patience. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Mart; a special nephew Leavis Mart; brothers and sisters, Stewart (Dellana) Mart, Elliot Mart, Marcus Mart, Alta (Calvin) Yellow Horae, all of Whiterocks; nieces and nephews, Cassy Bush, Cletii Mart, Calvin Yellow Horse, Jr., Preston Murray, Travis Mart, Cody Mart, h. Funeral services held 10:00 a.m., Qflipa E ST Howard Quetta Dixon Howard, age 76, of Roosevelt, formerly of Provo, died March 21, 2001 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center. She was born August 16, 1924 in Santaquin to Roger and Octava Kay Openshaw. She married L. Dale Dixon, Sept 15, 1941 and later divorced. Married Lee Harward in 1976, he died in 1992. Quetta was an outgoing, friendly person who made friends easily. She had a positive attitude and always looked on the brighter side of things. She was a very good cook, foil of tun and greatly eqjoyed her friends and family. She eqjoyed fishingand boating with her husband, Lee and loved the Uintah Basin. Quetta was a member of the Church ofJesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints and was a visiting teacher.
