Daughter, Michelle, needed to remain at home for her college classes, so was a guest at the homes offriends Melissa Tew (Craig and Bonnie Tew) and Michelle Brotherson, (Brent and Donna Brotherson) during the time of her familys absence. Audrey reported it was an eqjoyable time for the family to see all the new areas they hadnt seen before . Alex Monsen, in working on his Eagle Scout project, has planned and directed the work of enhancing the foot traffic entrance to the Bluebell park. With the earlier improvements by the county road department for parking along the Bluebell Community Park, he has added a positive addition to the park by constructing a curbing with a ramp at the entrance. He has been assisted by other young men of the Bluebell Varsity Scout Troop. Lending their assistance to Alex were Deven Tew, Shad Ross, and Ronny Wood. Also on hand to assist in the cement work was Alexs dad, Mark, Kim, Casey, and Matt Thacker. Hal and LaRae McDonald of Kearns made a trip to Bluebell to visit with LaRaes mother, Velma Monsen and to spend time at Rock Creek where they did some fishing. LaRae came to the Bluebell Ward Night Relief Society with her mom on Wednesday, October 14, where Velma had some special displays of her own handcrafted quilts and quilts she haa assisted her grandchildren in completing, crocheted doilies, etc. They attended die Vernal Temple on Friday, October 16. Wednesday night, October 14, Jackie Loertscher was taken by her husband, Kurt, to the Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt, where an emergency corrective auigery by scope was performed. She remained i n the Medical Center Wednesday and Thursday nights for observation before being released for the weekend on Friday afternoon. Visiting great granddaughter of Cleona Remington was stricken with the flu while here. On Wednesday, October 14, she was taken to the Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt where she was hospitalised due to dehydration. Following her release on Friday, October 16, she was taken to her grandparents Alton and Cheryl Thackers home in Heber where she will convalesce. A late call Thursday night, October 15, to Ron and Carolyn Miles from their son, Daryl, told them of the birth ofhis and Kerrilynn's baby boy, Coleman R Miles, who was bom at the new Mount Timpanogos Hospital in Orem. He weighed seven pounds and twelve ounces. He will share thia birthday date with his aunt, Rhonda Miles. He has an older brother, Mason. This makes the tenth grandchild for Ron and Carolyn. His maternal grandparents are Scott and Carma Hirschi of Roosevelt He haa two great grandmothers- Alice Miles of Mountain Home and Dortha White of Roosevelt The heavy wet snow of October 16 in the Bluebell area created damage to many trees causing breakage of limbs of the larger trMfh Community members saiththat there were two inches of snow which fell in the time period of one hour between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. Rachel Tew came home Thursday, October 15, for a long weekend break between classes to visit with her parents, Craig and Bonnie Tew. She will go back to school in Cedar City Monday. Brad Monsen has been hired to assist with laying communication lines for the CompaNiels-Fuga- ls ny. He is living in Provo rooming with friends, Beau Goodrich and John Jenkins, while he is working. He left on September 27 for his employment John Jenkins has been staying at home for the last few weeks as his work has taken him to the PAce area. He drives back and forth each day with others of the area who are working in the same place. Haying served two missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, kept Lois Goodrich busy last week in attending the reunions held for each of the two missions. First, she traveled to Salt Lain City Friday morning, October 2, where the senior missionaries of the New Jersey Morristown mission attended a temple session at theJordanRiverTempleasagroup. She was joined there by her mission companions, Estella Benson, a in-law, of Salt Lake City, and Rhea Lambert, her younger sister, of Brigham City. Following the session, they went with the other returned missionaries to a restaurant where the group had reserved dining arrangements where they could visit and reminisce of their experiences in the Morristown Mission. That evening, Lois, accompanied by her sister, Rhea, attended the Wisconsin Milwaukee mission reunion of her first mission where she served with her older sister, Virginia Peterson. The reunion was held at the home of their mission president and wife, President and Sister Nixon. That weekend Rhea and Lois were guests atIris daughter, Carol and Gary Coulams home for LDS conference sessions. Wednesday, October 7, Jeff Lee Stokes and Laura Marie Smith were married in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. Jeff is Lois step grandson. His parents are Alan and Ann Stokes. Lois attended the temple folceremony and brunch which returned lowed with the family, then home to Bluebell early Thursday morning. Friday afternoon, October 2, the Tn and Audrey Roberts family, including Yolanda, Ray and Elisabeth, took advantage ofthe teachers UEA break on Thursday and Friday and a short school week, to travel to Phoenix, Arizona, as family where thy family vacationed while camped at a beautiful KOA Campground. Rhonda Miles, who is attending BYU, brought a missionary companion with whom she served during her England Leeds Mission to visit in Bluebell last weekend of October with hpr family, Ron and Carolyn Miles. Rhonda's companion, Martina Obermayr of Austria, came to Salt Lake City for the LDS Conference; especially to attend the England Leeds Missionary reunion and to visit with her former companions who live in the area. While in Bluebell the Miles introduced her to the work of making their cattle drive. She was able to ride a horse for the first time experience in her life. Rhonda and Martina left early Sunday morning to travel to Alpine the attend the missionary report of another mission companion of Rhonda and Martina who has just returned from the England Leeds Mission. 9-- Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Haslem are going on a trip to Idaho where they will visit several friends. Kristy Jones and family, Ginger Casper, Sabrina Casper and Tracy Roberts visited Trudy Berston and Sidney Lee in Heber on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Kim Jones and family of Salt Lake spent the week in Tabiona. Sharon St rebel and her sisters left Tuesday for c week's vacation in St. George where they will visit other 1998- - Pace 21 sisters and Ixtis Collins left Wednesday for Salt Lake where her daughter Joan and sou will vacation in San Francisco for a week. Keith KhuadcH of Omaha, Nebras- ka and Patsy Orme from England enjoyed a turkey dinner with Arvel and Denn Rhoades and family on Sot ui day. They went on to Bryce and Zions Canyon then to Yellowstone Park. Keith and Patsy met 28 years ago when he wae on his mission there and she was converted to the I.DS Church. Bill and Thelma Dulle left Sunday for Tampa, Florida where they will spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Ervan Rhoades and family, Mr. and Mrs. Arvel Rhoades, and Jolene Giles all went to Provo on Saturday where Sam entered the MTC. He will goto Australia for LDS Mission. Mr. and Mrs. John Roberts and family went to Provo on Saturday where Riley entered the MTC. The Frank Arrowchiscs eqjoyed a weekend visiting with their family. LaRee and Stephanie Span and her friend Cassidy of Bennion came CurShelton, and daughter-in-larie and her two suns, of East Garland.
