Blackwell continued to Do It All by knocking the ball through the upUnion edge. rights far a Union, with 25 seniors as compared to nine by Wasatch, proved they were older, wiser and more talented when Elder carried the ball to the Wasp 32 on the final play of the first quarter. However, a field goal try of 45 yards by T. Blackwell was just wide. The Cougars weren't done in the scoring department in the first half. Union was pinned down at their own nine. QB Rasmussen solved the problem by putting his feet to work. He cut to the right, broke tackles, changed direction to the middle of the field and marched 61 yards to the Wasp 30. Berrett scooted to the 14 for a first down, and a reverse by T. Blackwell had Wasatch all Black arid Blue at the four. Rasmussen ripped to the left and went in for the touchdoWn with 1:24 remaining in the second quarter. Blackwell kicked his third straight through the uprights for a 21-- 0 halftime Cougar lead. Union continued to pound the Wasps with running plays and then passes to Frandsen and Barak Lemon (20 yard play) placing the Cats on Wasatchs 33. Berrett had his defenders growling as he clawed his line on a way to the one-yacany. Rasmussen scored on a quarterback keeper, and T. Blackwell was 4 for 4 with the boot for the extra point to give Union a 28-- 0 lead with 5:29 to go in the third quarter. Wasatchs best scoring chance came late in the third quarter when they advanced the ball all the way to the Union one. However, the Cougar defense shut the door and kept the Wasps one yard short of the 65-ya- nt 24-ya- rd rd goal. Marx discovered the perfect birthday present on October 15 when he grabbed the gift, an interception, and then unwrapped it for a TD to end the game, 35-- which is the most lopsided Union win over a Wasatch team in many years. 0, Sil&ftSs Fee:$35.00 Sign Up Now!
