They received flu shots at Crossroads Center and visited at the Care Center. Wednesday they went to Murray to spend time with Harold's brother Max Gee. They also shopped and kept doctor's appointments in Heber. Betty Hamblin of Duchesne had family visitors for the weekend. Betty also went to Ephraim to visit with sist Nyla Draper who has been sick but is improving. Della Turnbow and Elsie Hicken stayed over to visit with Lloyd and the family. Jack Bleazard of Bridgeland is a patient in the Cedar View Care Center in Roosevelt. He has been very ill. Emmett and Dorothy Evans had visitors over General Conference weekend: her sister Karen and Howard Shirtleff, their daughter and the daughters friend. The son of Luella Wardle a McKinnon Weed passed away in Salt Lake. He resided in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and is survived by his wife and three children. His mother was a daughter of Jed and Leila Wardle. Gerry was born in Duchesne 52 years ago to Luella and Harold McKinnon. His funeral services were held in Idaho on Saturday, Oct. 10. Mona Dean McGinnis has been spending a lot oftime in Logan with her daughter Stephanie Bennett and family. Stephanie has been ill for some time. Mona Dean's son. Mike McGinnis of Lehi, has been helping his mother. The Mother's Club was held on Oct. 1 at the home of JoAnn Grant. Jackie Johnsen was President Marie Spencer welcomed new member Jill Hansen to the club. Gayle Young performed a scary skit. She dressed in a witch's costume and acted the part. Jackie Johnsen helped us to enrich our word power. Refreshments were served to 20 $5 Utah Milk Production Drops Utah milk production during the 1998 totaled 384 million pounds, down 2.5 percent from the same quarter of 1997, according to the Utah Agricultural Statistics Service. The number of milk cows during the quarter averaged 90,000 head, 1,000 head less than the third quarter of 1997. Milk per cow was 4,267 pounds, down 63 pounds from the previous year. N ationally , the quarterly production of milk for this U.S. was 38.7 billion pounds, 0.3 percent below the period last year. Jerry and Veva have been friends since they were in junior high in Garden Grove, California. Sondra Nielson and children of Leamington spent the weekend with her folks, Dean and Pam Peterson. Her husband Ken and son went deer hunting. While Sondra was here her sister Anna and husband Darrin Brown had a baby girl born Oct. 7. At the next round of RACS, the IJDWR will present a proposal to sell the general season deer hunt permits as part of the limited entry bucks and bulls drawing. This is designed to help ensure deer are not because permits have been oversold, said Mike Welch, Division big game coordinator. Currently the Division and its license agents are not tied into a computer system that allows the Division to track the number of permits sold at the time of sale. Instead, the Division must rely on surveys of license agents and resulting estimates as to the number of permits that have been sold. This often results in deer permits for Division regions being oversold.
