Why not? He had won every cross country race this year. It was a given. Somebody forgot to tell Courtney Moon, Curts teammate. By running the race at 16:51, Courtney finished four seconds ahead of Grant and won the region 13 individual cross country title and led his fellow Eagles to their sixth consecutive region XIII left, and it worked. Grant, tried to keep up. I could feel him right behind me. When lie turned it on I couldnt catch him. Im just glad it was our team that won. Three fellow Eagles placed in the top ten . Dave Grant placed fourth, Johnny Foster eighth and Ryan Moat ninth to ensure the victory and help win the title. The kids ran hard, coach Moat said, Im proud of this team. We have some great runners I think we have a good shot at state. The Lady Eagles finished in fourth place with Hanna White placing fifth in Region 13. Also in the third quarter sophomore Tyrel Greeamen blocked a red Devil punt, picked up the loose ball and ran it to the nine yard line where the Grand punter made the tackle. The win for the devils sets up a big game of the undefeated next week when Grand plays San Juan for the region 13 title. Both teams haveidentical 0 records.
