Show UINTAH BASIN STANDARD. June 29. 1988 - Pass.fi 9 The 4-- H Purr Purr toured th . office and operating room of veterinarians, Dra. Dennis and Whiting. We learned about different feline diseases, such as Leukemia . Virus infections and distemper. Both diseases have a vaccination available that is saving lots of feline lives. We learned that a feline has an extra eye lid, which is better protection. We were shown how operations are performed. The were very interesting. We saw a real flea under the microscope. We learned a lot of things and the doctors were very . nice to us. They gave us a bag of cat food for our pets. They told us that they have people askingfor felines all the time, and if we knew of anyone wantingto give them away they will place them in good, homes. They cautioned us about not feeding dog food to our pets as they lack a vitamin that ia needed for our pets to be healthy. Those going on the tour were Nichole Richens, Jayci Hacker, Michelle Lamb, Melinda Thomas and Judy Wilson. S TAR TS WEDNESDAYfTJUNE12 9W9 :30TaTm (ijilMUBStl BROKEN.SIZES Gsssa&osxsEEsa X-ra- ys .
