Houstons celebrate fifty years together CELEBRATING FIVE DECADES-Jo- hn "MM, and Wanda Houston will be celebrating 50 years of love at an open house held in their honor on Friday, July 8 in Orem. ThefamilyofJohn and Wanda Houston will host an open house in honor ofthe couples 50 th wedding anniversary on Friday, July 8 from 5 to 9 p.m. at 1047 east 650 North in Oram, Utah. The event is open to all friends and relatives and the only gift they require is that of your presence. John and Wanda wen married July 8, 1938 in Vernal, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Their early life was spent at farming in the Basin with John taking time out to serve in the second World War. In 1957, they build a home in Orem and in 1962 they were called to Australia on abuilding mission. John supervised the building of three chapels ftr the LDS church, returning in 1965. In 1978 they retired and moved to St. George. They have five children, Ralph and Dan Houston of Venturi California; Dave Houston of Delta, Mrs. Darrel (RaNae) Ashton of Pleasant Grove and Mrs. Clyde (Joy) Ashton of Oram. They have 17 grand children and 16 gnat Wilcken and John D. Dove Jr, MARRIED AT TAHOE-Ju- lic were married at Lake Tahoe June 15. The brides parents are hosting an open house in the couples honor on July 1, from 6:30-8:30p- Wilcken and Dove Jr. are married at Tahoe Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Wilcken of Pleasant Valley are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Julie, to John D. Dove Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Dove Sr. of St. George, Utah. The couple was married at Lake Tahoe, Nevada on June 15.
