DESERTED THEIR CHILDREN inhuman parents leave little ones in forest to starve mont A sad case of four children deserted by their parents in the woods near here and the little ones escape from a mountain lion has been brought to the attention of state humane officer schoenfeld the children the oldest of whom Is 15 years and the youngest eight months were left by their parents in an empty cabin in the mountains they were found by a woman named atkinson so weak from want of food that they could scarcely balk they said a huge mountain lion had been watching the cabin for days and they were afraid to venture out mrs atkinson led the children to town and the five were followed a mile by the beast the children are now in charge of the humane officer
