out of the dressing room chanting “66 to nothing” and preceeded to set a new stadium ilngtogame team scoring record of 42 points breaking the record set by Memphis State last year when it defeated Utah State 466 Idaho recovered three USU fumbles and intercepted four Aggie passes two bur touchdowns to completely dominate the game In spite of having 160 yards assessed them in penalties the Vandals refused to be bothered as they racked up 389 total offensive yards to the Aggies’ 289 on a soggy field Mike Wiscombe carried for 128 yards 98 in the first 30 minutes and Fred Riley added another 85 as the twosome totaled 158 yards rushing Wiscombe total alone was more ban the entire Utah State backs managed But be real key to the Idaho victory was bund in its defense led by Ron Linehan and Steve Barker Each returned one interception Ey for a touchdown Linehan for 44 yards in the first half and Barker for 48 yards in the second Linehan also had a fumble recovery four receivers gaining 99 yards in seven receptions plus his fine punt return The victory for the Vandals was their fourth straight a mark inachieved since 1923 when be Vandals blanked five consecutive
