Christensen says this increase represents a 23 over 1975. He reported the 1976 net income to average assets ratio was 1.24, compared to the national average of approximately .74. UTAH 841 IS PHONE 466-081- 1 Park City and Resort Coordinate Promotion First Federal's Home Improvement Loan Department moved from the downtown Salt Lake headquarters to new offices in First Federal branch at Fashion Place Mall in Murray. This move, according to Christensen, will enable First Federal to give better service to home improvement customers. Nuclear Plant Christensen indicated that the Fashion Place branch of First Federal, opened in 1973, showed a 49 increase in savings deposits over 1975. The Price branch, which merged with First Federal in 1974, increased savings accounts by 24 and made $2.5 million in mortgage loans in 1976. To encourage homeowners to participate in the measurement program, the company has received permission from the Public Service Commission to provide a special electricity rate to participating owners of homes heated with solar systems. The participating owners would be charged only for the electricity they consume without being charged the flat monthly rate that most users of alternate energy must pay. Under the contract, the power company will install the measuring devices. The University effort, headed by Steve Swanson and Bob Boehm of the mechanical engineering department, will be gathering and analyzing the data generated by the devices. Also, they will be measuring the amount of solar radiation available to the system as a potential heat source.
