Show Page The Utah Enterprise Review , January 12 , 1977 10b November Business Burglaries Decline The number of Salt Lake City business burglaries reported in November 1976 declined by 21 percent compared to those reported in November 1975, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department. But the number of shoplifting cases gained by 8 percent in November 1976 over the November 1975 figure. The November 1976 figure was also higher (by 14 percent) than that reported for October. The police department said 58 night burglaries were reported in November 1976, compared to 74 reported in November the non-residen- ce previous year and 69 reported in October. It said 186 shoplifting cases were reported in November 1976 compared to 172 reported in November 1975 and 163 reported in October. See Chart.
