Between 1970 and 1975 a yearly average of 5475 units have been built in suburban Salt Lake. This rate has been accelerated in 1976, with 3685 building permits being issued in the first six months, alone. The majority of new subdivisions recently have been filling in vacant areas in Hunter and Granger, between Kearns and Taylorsville, West Jordan and Sandy, the report stated.
