Show TEST RUN, Dugway Proving Ground, Friday, July 29, The Chaplains Corner 'Freedom Under God by Chaplain (LTC) Glenn D. Lauby From the earliest days of our nations history, there has been an inseparable link between the spiritual awareness and moral integrity erf our people and our national strength. The recognition erf die need for Divine Guidance by those who laid the foundations of a free nation, to be governed by a freedom-lovin- g people, is seen again in more recent times when we have incorporated into the Pledge of Allegiance die words One Nation Under God. This dependence upon Divine Providence to enable us to perform our duties as individuals and as a nation has kept us in touch with the mightiest force of human existence. It has directed and motivated the men in our legislative chambers, it has g) tea direction and purpose to our industrial achievements, it has served to strengthen and encourage our men on many battle fronts, it has .provided a sound basis upon which to build our homes and rear families, and it has inspired our people to dedicate themselves to the highest and noblest tasks. May we at this time dedicate ourselves anew to preserve for oncoming generations this Godly heritage. We can bequeath ' to them nothing greater than this and, without this faith, all else hat we may achieve could very well be but the ashes- of a nation which has lost its way. Tens of thousands of servicemen and women all over the world daily make a real effort to cut expenses. Yet scores ignore the one area where the biggest waste of ail occurs accidents. ACCIDENTS CAN cost grief and loss of life. Others may involve personal injuries. They all cost dollars millions of dollars annually. They also deter military readiness, die product of defense dollars. Accidents are caused for the most part either by human or mechanical failure. Often mechanical failure can be traced back to human overright. No one will ever devise a system to eliminate accidents completely, but everyone can contribute toward reducing diem. The effort will often save lives. It will always save dollars. EVERY MAN and woman in uniform and every civilian working for the services is armed with die primary weapon in this war against accidents. That weapon is forethought. A little time and a litde care can make the difference. K 0 0 0 f0 - to Royal Garnet, Frozen, Concentrated 6-o-z.
