McCarthey of Burlingame, Cal., has been a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Kearns for the past few days. Mrs. McCarthy and her three children and mother, Mrs. Jennie J. Kearns, and Miss Claire Driscoll, will leave during the week for New York from where they will sail June 2 on the steamship Paris for Europe to spend the summer. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Prickett have returned from a trip to the coast and are at home at the Belvedere. Mrs. Reed S. Gardner of Berkeley, Cal., is visiting her mother, Mrs. T. F. Pierpont. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip W. Embury of Denver are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hendrik Remeyn. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Bartch recently returned from a California trip. Miss Margaret Thomberg will leave June 9 for New York, from where she will sail for a three months European trip, going first to Norway, where she will be joined by a cousin, William N. Thomberg, formerly a planter in the West Indies, but now a resident of Denmark. They will visit an uncle in Denmark, General Thorwald Thomberg, before visiting England and France. Miss Thomberg will visit Mrs. Charles Tyng in New York prior to her departure. Mrs. Georgia Welch is visiting in California for a couple of weeks. Mrs. J. H. Thomas of Los Angeles, formerly of Ogden, is visiting with her sister, Mrs. E. T. Hulaskie. Mrs. E. 0. Wattis and Mrs. Ezra Richardson left during the week for San Antonio, Texas, to attend the annual meeting of the National Federation of Womens clubs, which will convene on May 28.
