Show 8a July 21 . 1977 STANDARD MYTON By Cede RUImm Visitors of Ruth Murray this week were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Murray and son Carl, also a friend, Carl Hurst from Stillwater, Okla. They had been in Salt Lake to see their son Elder Jamie Murray who had been in the LTM in Provo depart for the French Quebec Mission. Ruth Murray visited in Salt Lake with her son Mae and family a few days and seen Jamie depart also. Peter and Vanessa Wilson and children from Orem, visited Afton and Ceclia, Ken and Barbara one day last week. Annette Young and Ray Young, the son and daughter of James Young are spending two weeks with grandmother, Wetthea Young and other relatives. Bruce and Brad Sorenson have a cousin visitng with them for a couple of weeks. Mrs. Barbara Ross traveled to Calif., last week and brought her mother back to stay with her awhile. Part of the company will be going down there to work and the rest will stay here, a The children of Gertrude Rasmussen met Sunday at the home of Fern and Ward Abbott for a reunion to start to compile a book on their mother, Art and Audrey Rasmussen. Hazel Jensen was one of the stake leaders to attend the four day APYW camp at Iron Springs. The Second Ward leaders that participated in the APYW Girls Camp at Iron Springs, were JoAnn Smith, Carolyn Woodward, Eva Labrum, RaNae Miller, Eighteen girls enjoyed the four days with four certified and all completed their requirements. They received the Smokey Bear Award for most original camp equipment. Ruth Rasmussen, Dawnette Adamson, and Kay Madsen were the mothers taking them up and bringing them home. poem by Verl Tucker. The program is being presented this evening (Thursday July 21st) at 8:30 p.m. in the Altamont Ward Cultural Hall after an auction and family picnic. Admission will be by donation. All proceeds will go to the park fund and all doanting will be eligible to receive a door prize to be given away after the program. Fireworks will be set off South of the Church immediately after the program. Thursday, Mrs. Rieta Hamblin and Louise Betts entertained at the Hamblin home. Arvin Haslem from Rexburg, Idaho spent some time at the home of his parents, the Myron Haslems. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Larsen motored to Cody, Wyo., to take their grandson, David Anderson home. Mrs. Ila V. Larsen hosted a birthday party for her son Rickys tenth birthday.
