So this time all I'm going to do is report the results, no story, no comments, just the plain ole MSBRA results, schedules Cindy Williams, member of the Mountain State Barrel Racing Association (MSBRA) won first place in the July 15th competition during the Duchesne rodeo, winning $105.00. Bobette Warren was second with $63.00 and Bonnie Barker was third. . with $42.00. During the celebration held July 16, Cindy Williams was first with $105.00, Bobette Warren was second with $63.00 and Mary Ann Parrish was third with $42.00. Union, high school, announced this week that beginning Monday, July 25th there will be a running program at the school for all students planning on playing football The program will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday's at 7 p.m. Coach Omer also noted that football equipment would be issued on August 19 and that physicals would also be available from 7 to 9 a.m. for those participating in the program. Physicals will be given at results. If you folks prefer it this way then I would appreciate a phone caH But if you liked the old way better and would like me to continue reporting the races, then give them a call and let them know you liked it the way it use to be, with all the comments I usually put in. I really enjoy writing this column, but this may be my last time. As the Vernal Advertiser has someone who does a good job with no hassle, and its free. What these folks don't realize is that they sell a lot of extra papers just because of my column, not to find out who had coffee with who last week. Racers will travel to Price this weekend. HOBBY CLASS Sign-u- p set for county rodeos Sign ups are scheduled August 17 for the Duchesne County Fair rodeos which will be held Friday and Saturday, August 19 and 20. This TCRA approved rodeo will beheld at Duchesne County fair grounds. The sign up will bl eheld at Ells Motel Room 23 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. August 17. An added purse of $100 per event is new this year, and $85 sterling silver trophy buckles will be awarded. Rough stock will be provided by O'Driscoll Brothers. Events are team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, ban. jack riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding and calf roping. Entrance fee is $20 and $5 stock fee. The rodeo committee includes Gary Linda Crazier, Goodrich, chairman; Nona Lee Claude and Crazier, secretary, Goodrich, John Breakfield and Shorty Springer. the school. Carnes are currently scheduled for and Wednesday, Monday, Tuesday August 25th, 26th and 27th. Game times and teams are as follows: Monday at 3:00 p.m., Duchesne vs. Wellington and at 5:00 p.m. the loser of the first game vs. Emery NatipnaL Games will also be played at 3 and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, if necessary, and the teams will be decided by the results of the first two games of this double elimination tournament The Unit 1 tournament will be held simultaneously in Price and includes the Price National Green River, Helper, Huntington, East Carbon and Emery American teams. The winners of the two tournaments will play off in Duchesne later in the season, but the exact dates and times have not yet been established.
