REQUEST FOR BIDS ON RENTAL OR LEASE OF SADDLE ANDOR PACK HORSES Each season the Ashley National Forest has need for about 20 or 30 saddle and pack horses to be used in Forest administrative work. The season of use runs for approximately three months from about June 15 through September 15 of each year. We are interested in recieving bids from those interested in' supplying horses for use on the Forest Some animals would be needed for the entire season, and others on needed would be anintermittent basis. They must be well broke to ride or pack and safe to use in Mountainous terrain. The Forest reserves the right to reject any horse judged to be unsafe for our use. Bids will be accepted on the number of horses you may have available for rent Please list your bid by the horse day. month, or entire three month period. The Forest Service will furnish the feed, keep the horses shod, and pay for any veterinary services needed while they are being used by them.
